Along with being the bass singer for the group she is also the Treasurer. She and her husband George reside in Pikeville. They have three children; Scott, April, and Jeffrey. They are also proud to have 8 grandchildren. 5 boys and 3 girls.

Joan also serves as Pianist/Organist, Choir Director and Sunday School teacher at her home church, Pleasant Grove OFWB in Pikeville.
